Smart But Feeling Dumb

Yesterday I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Harold N. Levinson, M.D., the author of Smart But Feeling Dumb, New Understanding and Dramatic Treatment for Dyslexia, LD/ADD.

I am very excited about Dr. Levinson’s book, his ideas and his research. I can’t tell you how much I relate to what he says - it leads me to believe that he is on the right track.

Please note that Dr. Levinson’s definition of dyslexia is far different that most people’s; don’t discount what he has to say just because you think you don’t have dyslexia. Dr. Levinson’s definition is far more broad and once you listen to him explain, you may change your mind.

  1. Dr. Levinson and his theory is wonderful! After reading “Smart but Feeling Dumb” 20 years ago, I took my daughter to see him. We followed much of what he prescribed. She earned her masters degree in May 2009 and is now teaching kids with autism. Dyslexia can be successfully dealt with.

  2. Wow - I had no idea that Dr. Levinson had been around that long! It’s so inspiring to hear stories like yours. Thank you.
